Gradić Fest: when street performances become a reason for a walk

GuideFestivals and culture

The Street Musicians Festival, also known as Gradić Fest, combines music with other kinds of performance. What makes it interesting for visitors is that the experience involves moving around, stopping and a closer encounter with the performances. Even so, for any given edition, first check the organiser’s dates, venues and schedule.

Choose a few performances that interest you most and leave time between them. If you are coming with friends, agree on a meeting point and what you will do when your wishes differ. That way everyone can see something of their own, without spending the whole evening discussing where to go next.

It is practical to plan a meal before the programme starts or during a long enough break. If you will be in central Novi Sad before the festival, look at the Lazin Salaš menu and reserve a table for an early lunch or dinner. Remember to include getting to the venue in your schedule.

For a daytime visit to the Petrovaradin side, see our guide to Petrovaradin Fortress. For a broader picture of cultural events, read our guide to Novi Sad’s festivals. That way you can link your festival visit with the city, while giving the walk, the meal and the performances enough time each.
