How to plan a visit to the Novi Sad Jazz Festival

GuideFestivals and culture

The Novi Sad Jazz Festival can be a reason to plan your visit to the city around music. For a good plan, first choose the concerts you want to hear, then check their venues and times. The festival’s concept and venues can change from one edition to the next, so rely on the current official programme.

If you arrive early, keep part of the day for central Novi Sad. A short walk and a meal offer a different rhythm from an evening of listening to music. Don’t squeeze more between two concerts than you can realistically manage: getting there, sitting down in a restaurant and getting back to the programme all take time.

For a break in the centre, see the Lazin Salaš menu. If lunch or dinner comes before a concert, mention when you plan to leave when reserving a table. That makes it easier to talk through your arrival and choice of food, with enough time to get to the concert relaxed.

Our guide to Novi Sad’s festivals will help you link your visit with other cultural events. And if you have part of the day free, look at our one-day route. Jazz remains the reason for coming, while a walk and a home-cooked meal round out what you will remember from the trip.
